The Transmitter is designed to simplify your asset optimization projects. Simplifies connecting and collecting sensor data from your critical assets. So you can focus on your asset, not on data collection. Works great for all kinds of applications
The Transmitter has 3 waterproof sensor ports. Each port supports 3 channels and works with active and passive sensors. Works great with Petasense sensors and most third-party industrial sensors (4-20 mA and 0-30V)
The Transmitter uses Wi-Fi to send multi-parametric sensor data to the Petasense Cloud. Configure the frequency of data collection remotely through Petasense Web & Mobile apps.
The Transmitter can be wirelessly powered by four AA batteries. The batteries are field replaceable and can last 2-3 years under standard configuration. Alternatively, the Transmitter can be externally powered using Power over Ethernet (PoE).
Plug in PLCs to the Transmitter using it’s Ethernet port. It supports Modbus over TCP to extract and wirelessly send rich PLC data to the Petasense Cloud for asset reliability and optimization.
The Transmitter can be easily installed virtually anywhere. Place it outdoors near the equipment or inside an asset enclosure. It can be mounted using an adhesive or on a DIN rail.
At just 4″ in height and width and 1½″ in depth, the Transmitter can be installed in the tightest of spaces. The enclosure is made of polycarbonate and the connectors are made of corrosion-resistant, stainless steel making it suitable for most industrial environments.
The Transmitter connects to the Cloud using TLS 1.2 over a TCP connection. Client certificates are used to identify the device on the server. AES-256 ciphers are supported for communications. Access to the Cloud is secured using TLS 1.2.
The Transmitter is designed to function in a variety of industrial environments. Its water and dust proof (IP67) design makes it suitable for outdoor use. It has also been pre-tested for Class 1 Div 2 for use in hazardous environments.
